This site hosts all the general info regarding the European Veteran Roller hockey Invitational Cup, an event to be held once a year (in the Spring or Autumn) throughout Europe to promote veteran roller hockey at its highest level. There are two categories, the well known 35+ tournament (since 2003) and the 50+ tournament (since 2009).

We can now announce the start time and teams participating in this year’s European Veterans Rollerhockey Invitational Cup (EVRICup) which will take place over 4 days (29th May – 1st June) at the Bay Arena.

The tournament’s 1st game will be at 17:00 on Wednesday 29th May. There will be a total of 46 matches spread over the 4 days of competition. The EVRICup is made up of 2 separate competitions. We have the Over 35 category and the Over 50’s.

We have 12 teams competing in the Over 35’s: Herne Bay United (ENGLAND), C.T. Barcino (SPAIN), Geigg (SPAIN), Vilafranca (SPAIN), Voltrega (SPAIN), Paco De Arcas (PORTUGAL), Losbinhos (PORTUGAL), Manchester (ENGLAND), Carbonia (ITALY), Follonica (ITALY), Valkenswaard (HOLLAND) and Rolta (BELGIUM)

 We have 8 teams competiting in the Over 50’s: Herne Bay (ENGLAND), C.T. Barcino (SPAIN), Geigg (SPAIN), Cibeles (SPAIN), Castiglione (ITALY), Trieste (ITALY), Losbinhos (PORTUGAL) and The Dreamteam (HOLLAND).

HBU Club President Ron Barker said: “We are thrilled and honoured to be asked to host what is the biggest roller hockey tournament in the world. We are determined to make it a success. We are looking forward to welcoming our European friends to Herne Bay. It promises to be 4 fantastic days of roller hockey. Some of the best players who have ever played the game will be on show. It’s an unbelievable opportunity for not only the local community, but for roller hockey fans from all over the country to see top quality international roller hockey”.

HBU Club Coach Phil McVey added: “The club have put a lot of work into this event to make it a success. Everyone is looking forward to it. It gives us a platform to put our club, our country and our sport on the map. All of the players are looking forward to it. We have a strong squad of players in our Over 35 team and hope to do well. For all those people who have never seen our sport, come down and have a look, you’ll love it. For all those roller hockey fans from all over England, it is a tournament that cannot be missed!!!”

SPECIAL MESSAGE FROM HERNE BAY

Dear Friends,

The EVRICUP in Herne Bay is now rushing towards us. I can confirm that the 1^st Match of the tournament will be Wednesday (29^th) in the afternoon. We will have a delegates meeting at 2pm (perhaps 3pm) and the tournament will start an hour after the meeting finishes.

The programme for the tournament will be issued hopefully tomorrow.

Dear All,

For all you guys who have accepted the invitation to participate in this year’s tournament. (29^th May – 1^st June) Please note I would recommend you come on the Tuesday as we will probably be starting tournament on Wednesday morning.

If you can’t make it until Wednesday then let me know so I can try and work out schedule so everyone is kept happy.

The airports that are closest are:

1. Manston Airport (10km) from Herne Bay (I know KLM fly there from Amsterdam and other cities). KLM have just taken it over. It is a small airport but ideal if you can get the flights.
2. Gatwick Airport (100km) from Herne Bay
3. Stansted Airport (130km) from Herne Bay
4. Heathrow Airport (160km) from Herne Bay

Alternatively for all looking to come by boat / tunnel. We are 40km from Dover / Folkstone.

The committee beliefs to speak in the name of all the participants and everyone else: the tournament in Valkenswaard was a very good tournament. Over 50 matches with aboslute tophockey in the respective 35+ en 50+ categories, organised according to the "Evri-standard", that is: good facilities and a good hospitality. Again we have seen the growing interest in this international event, that - as we have heard so may times already - is also known as the European Veteran Championship.

A lot of pictures and movies have been made and will without any doubt be published the coming weeks. If everyone keeps the webmaster informed, all this material van be spread amongst out still growing Evri-community.

Result election new board of the I.E.C.

Delft - After a very successful period the current Board of the I.E.C. (International EVRICup Comittee) has come to the end of its term. The past few years the Board consisted of the following persons: President: Mr. B. Veerman (The Netherlands), member: Mr. J. Escuder (Spain), member: Mr. P. Becacci (Italy), secretary: Mr. R. Verbeek (The Netherlands) and Webmaster: Mr. B. Fresco (The Netherlands). During the last delegatesmeeting in Valkenswaard d.d. 12-09-12 are the following persons elected : President: Mr. B. Veerman (The Netherlands), Member  Mr. J. Ferran (Spain), Member Mr. B. Agustinho (Portugal), Member T. Sorensen (The Netherlands) for the referees and Mr. M. Domingos (The Netherlands) as secretary. Mr. B. Fresco will be the webmaster of the general EVRICup website. The new board of the I.E.C. are elected for the two coming I.E.C. periods (2012-2013 and 2014 and 2015).

Organization ready for biggest EVRICup edition ever

Delft - Tuesday 11 september start the biggest EVRICUp Edition EVRICup in her history. The event has since grown to the largest roller hockey Veterans (35 + and 50 +) tournament in the world. The accommodation in Valkenswaard (The Netherlands) has undergone a major renovation and is sharply expanded capacity through tents. All participants and fans from Europe: "a good and safe trip. We're going to make together with you a  beautiful sporting and friendship period in The Netherlands."

Dear delegates of the 35+ and 50+ teams,

I have the honour to inform you about the Delegatesmeeting of the International EVRICup Committee (I.E.C.) to be held on Wednesday 12 september 2012 on 11.00 uur - 13.00 hour in the Rollerhal Valkenswaard, Schotelmanstraat 25, Valkenswaard.

This invitation is maximal available for 2 delegates each participating team in the 35+ and 50+ category.

For your preparation of the meeting you recieve by mail the agenda and the proposal update EVRICup rules both documents with the date 12 september 2012.

Renovation and a logistic plan

Delft - Dressingrooms for 24 sportteams is quite a challenge. There is a logistic plan. The Organisation Committee of the 18th edition EVRICup in Valkenswaard has started to realise this. Even a renovation of the accommodation was necessary ! 

60 tournament matches !

 Delft- The 18th edition has 60 matches in 5 game days! To manage these games there is a gamepoint with 6 functions (administration, time/scoareboard, commissioner, teamerrors counter, speaker and music Dj) and referees. There are a  5 German and 3 Dutch referees ready to accompany the matches.

Delft - All the E.C. matches are broadcast by the TV station RTP and are shown on a large screen. So the rollerhockeylovers in Valkenswaard canfollow also the topgames in Portugal (Paredes).

Delft - There are many international veteran teams who want to join an EVRI Cup Edition. Some editions ago we started to make some EVRI Cup rules. The growing of the event makes this necessary. One of the rules is the closing deadline for the participation in an EVRI Cup edition. Our friends from Northern Portugal (F.C. Porto) were spacious too late with their registration and are now placed on the reserve list. That is a pity because their debut during the last EVRI Cup Edition in Sintra (Portugal) was successful.

Delft - 16 teams in the 35+ category, 8 teams in the 50+ category, 60 games in total, 5 eventdays, 1 accomodation, 8 European countries ! 

Swiss 35+ interest

Delft- The veteranteam 35+ of R.H.C. Basel (Swiss) is interested to participate in the next EVRICup edition in The Netherlands. During the last delegatesmeetings the EVRICup participants have decided to the enlarge the participating country's with Switzerland. The I.E.C. is very happy with the the Swiss 35+ team of R.H.C. Basel.

Delft - The organisation committee of the 18th edition EVRICup, Valkenswaardse R.C. /DREAMTEAM 35 + has decided to make the number of teams in the 35+ category expand from 12 to 16 teams. The four new teams have now been notified. With this decision is the maximum number of reaches in the 35 + category. The 50 + category had already registered its last and 8th team. Coming monday 12 March 2012, the pool layout of the 35 + and the 50 + categories announced by the organisation committee through this general EVRICup website.

Delft - More than 5 months for the start of the 18th edition EVRICup is the 50 + category with 8 teams 50 + and the 35 + category with 12 teams 35+ fully booked. The organisatiecommite (Valkenswaardse RC/DREAM TEAM 35 +) will make a investigation to see if it is possible for the 35 + category the number of participants from 12 to 16 teams increase. Delft - Last Thursday 1 March was the registration deadline (24.00 hour) for the18th edition EVRICup 2012 Valkenswaard (The Netherlands). There is much interest to participate to the 18th Edition. New in the 35 + category are: Hockey Carbonia 35 + (Italy) and R.H.C. Basel 35+ (Switzerland). Especially with the last participant is the I.E.C. very happy because Switserland was not yet in the EVRICup tournament represented.  

  A special welcome to the R.H.C. Basel 35+ team. The EVRICup is now a 8 European nations tournament !

New in the 50 + category are : Evergreen Hockey Trieste 50 + (Italy), Valkenswaardse R.C. 50+ (The Netherlands) and C.T. Barcino 50 + (Spain).  

1 March, 24.00 hour : the date of closure

Delft - Of the date 28 February 2012 there are still 2 calendar days to subscribe for the 18th edition EVRICup 2012 in the Netherlands. On the date 1 March 2012 (24.00 hour) will the International EVRICup Committee (I.E.C.) to the notified teams 35 + and the 50 + of the organizing committee  Valkenswaardse R.C.-DREAMTEAM 35+  hand over the 35 + and 50+ inscriptions. A lot of international interest for the 18th edition

Delft- The organisatiecommite (Valkenswaardse RC/DREAM TEAM 35 +) will make a investigation to see if it is possible for the 35 + category the number of participants from 12 to 16 teams increase. In October 2010 to Castiglione della Pescaia (Italy) is the possibility of up to maximum 16 teams for the 35 + adopted during the delegates meeting. The possibility is being examined of the 35 + teams with 4 teams play in 2 cities (Valkenswaard and Eindhoven) in 4 poules. The 50 + category has already reached the maximum number of 8 teams. 

Eventdate 18th edition EVRICup Valkenswaard - The Netherlands

Delft - the decision is taken to the date fixed for two years ago, the 18th edition of the EVRIcup (wednesday 12 september 2012  - saturday 15 september 2012) not to change. A possible adjustment was in research because the C.E.R.H. had recently decided to organise the European Championships for seniors in the same period. The I.E.C. hopes in her contacts with the board of the C.E.R.H. that we can managed such eventdates on the official C.E.R.H calender. 

Equal dates for CERH EC and 18th edition EVRICup

Delft - The Committee European Rink hockey has recently announced the dates for the European Championships for Seniors (9-15 september 2012). Despite the fact that the dates for the 18th Edition EVRICup (12-15 september 2012) already in the year 2010 the CERH is informed about the EVRICup data. That is a pity since it mainly consists of EVRICup circuit roller hockey lovers who often have a task as a trainer, coach, delegate or the role of sponsor or member of a national or international committee. These people also like to play in the international veterancircuit of the  

 

EVRICup. The EC for Seniors is, of course, the highest European hockeylevel and the most important but data alignment was desirable. The Board of the EVRICup, the I.E.C., is now in consultation with the Netherlandsorganizationcommittee of the 18th EVRICup edition. There are two options: a. data 18th Edition EVRICup Edition will be unchanged; b. data Edition 18th Edition EVRICup will be moved.  

Better control playersage in Valkenswaard 2012

Delft - The sportslevel of the EVRICup 35+ category is in the last EVRICup editions higher and higher. That is a good sign for the event. But for a good and a fair competition is the wish of the participating teams for a better control of the regulation. Special the rule of the playersage for participating in the 35+ category. See the rule on the website item EVRI rules, version 03, 1 june 2011, article 03.08.

Well done England

Delft - A nice thought is that participants in the circuit of the EVRICup excepted to play roller hockey also do a great job on another level in the sport involved. As a trainer, coach, delegate, sponsor, etc. etc. The experience of the participants EVRICup are made available to develop the sport rollerhockey. A good example is Phil Mc. Key of the Herne Bay United Veterans 35 + team. He is the trainer / coach of the first senior team of Herne Bay United in England and place an excellent promotional film about roller hockey. Well done Phil ! Interest ? Sportshall 18th edition EVRICup 2012 Valkenswaard outdated

Valkenswaard - The sportshall where the club Valkenswaardse Roller Club (V.R.C.) operates with rollerhockey and figure skating is quite outdated. And this sportshall, De Dennenberg, will most probably have to close in 2013. An alternative is not there yet. Marty van den Brand, president of the Technical Committee of the rollerhockey section, says that the floor is a big problem. Van den Brand : "We still hope that we can stay here in this part of Valkenswaard and hope that the community of Valkenswaard understands that. With a good boost, we are on our way." Until then V.R.C. is still playing in an old sportshall. Chairman of the Club V.R.C., Marc Schoonderwoert, the municipality of Valkenswaard has already proposed to renovate the sportshall. "In the short term, we do need support of the municipality," he says. V.R.C. is still in consultation with the municipality of Valkenswaard for a better sportshall.

EVRICup board AED proposal in 2012

Delft - The board of EVRICup will launch a proposal at the delegates meeting of the 17th edition EVRICup in Valkenswaard, Netherlands 2012 to approve the use of AED devices as shown below for the first time at the 19th edition in 2013 Herne Bay England, all according to the EVRICup rules (available on the item in the header of this website) page 4 point 3.18. EVRICup board secretary Rob Verbeek: "The participants from the  35 + and 50 + categories have to regard their health. In our EVRICup rules, we have provided first aid persons. We want these persons  to have this AEDequipment available during the rollerhockey games . We hope that we never have to use this equipment but we are caring about the international EVRICup family".    . .     

 

AED information: A cardiac arrest is the probability that the underlying ventricular arrhythmia concerns from 60 to 70%. The sooner defibrillation is performed the greater the chance of survival for victims of ventricular fibrillation. If within two minutes through a bystander AED administers the initial surge increases the survival rate to 80%. The chance of survival decreases by approximately 10% to 12% per minute defibrillation is delayed. 

 

A lot of interest from Spain, Italy, Germany, Belgium and Suisse

Delft - More than 2 months before the closing of the registration term (01-03-12) there is a lot of interest to participate in the 18th EVRICup edition Valkenswaard - The Netherlands. Currently, there are 7 veterans teams on the waitinglist who wait if they can take part in the rollerhockeyevent. This decision will not be made earlier than 01-03-12 because in the EVRICup rules (see item on the website) there is a procedure that first the teams on the EVRICup rankinglist are invited. This goes on the order of the number of received EVRICup points. During one of the delegatesmeetings in the past also is decided that the expansion must come from countries that have not yet been represented. It concerns the countries France, Suisse and Austria. For this reason, a Swiss veteran team is the first on the waitinglist (see item Vwaard 2012).

Cibeles 50+ from Spain and in the 35 + category the host Os Lobinhos 35+ from Portugal were the deserved winners of the 17th edition EVRICup in Sintra (Portugal). The organization of the event was perfect and was a platform for friendship and sports.

Delft - The 50+ category 2009 in Zaandam-The Netherlands with the try-out games was very sucessful. The older players wanted to go on playing in the EVRICup circuit after their "35+ career" ! From now on you see the medalists in the 50 + category of the latest EVRICup editions under the website item Tournaments. 

Italian interest 18th edition in Vwaard 2012

Delft - The organizingcommite of the 18th edition EVRICup 2012 in Valkenswaard - The Netherlands has the possibility to host 12 teams in the 35 + category and 8 teams for the 50 + category. The teams will be invited in conformity with the E.I.C. ranking which is composed of the number of times participating in an EVRICup edition. If the number of 12 teams 35+ in March 2012 will not be met, the Italian H.C. Ottoruote Carbonia from Sardinia (www.clubottoruote.org) is one of the competitor teams. Belgium and Switzerland have also shown interest in EVRICup participating.

 Delft - The International EVRICup Committee (I.E.C.) wishes everyone a pleasant summer holiday period and hopes that everyone come back after the summer break to enjoy our favorite sport rollerhockey. We are planning our first update around september, 1st 2011.

Goodbye Portugal, Hello The Netherlands !

Delft - After the traditional EVRICupdinner on Saturday evening the participants took leave of each other and say to the Dutch "See you in the Netherlands !" After two times a edition in Zaandam now is Valkenswaard (In the south, near Eindhoven) the venue for the 18th edition of the EVRICup. The event date is 12-15 september 2012. Valkenswaardse R.C. DREAMTEAM 35+ chairman Mr. Marty van den Brand: "It will be hard on the line quality set to continue but we will do our very best. We have at least looking forward to our Brabant hospitality to our guests to show ".     rrr

CERH interest in EVRICup

Delft - The department rollerhockey CERH (Comite Europeen de Rink Hockey) of the European rollerskating board CERS (Confederation Europeenne de Roller Skating) wil have consultation with representatives of the IEC (International EVRICup Committee) to discuss both interests. It's all about promoting the sport rollerhockey. For this reason, CERH president Carlos Graca attended the event of the 17th edition EVRICup in Sintra and got a good impression. After the president spoke praise for the event and asked the IEC during the next CERH congress in Germany a proposal in order to get an official status CERH. From this situation, the EVRICup evolve into an official European CERH championship for veterans rollerhockey teams in the category 35+ and 50+.

EVRICup largest veteran rollerhockey tournament in the world

Delft - With as many as 18 veterans teams the European Veteran Rollerhockey Invitational Cup has become the largest veteran rollerhockey tournament in the world. More and more countries seek contact with the International EVRICup Committee (I.E.C.) to request information about the circuit which started with 4 participants (C.T. Barcino-Spain, DREAMTEAM 1-The Netherlands, Hockey Veterani Castiglione della Pescaia-Italy and GEiGG-Spain) in the year 2003 at a C.T. Barcino tournament in Barcelona. This time we must give all credit to the organizing committee of Lobinhos OS, that is currently hard at work for the 17th EVRICup in Sintra (Portugal) to succeed. 

The general EVRICup website (www.evricup.com) is a well-attended website with 125 visitors a day.

The maximum number of participators for the 35+ category is 16 (in Sintra 12 teams) and for the 50+ category 8 (in Sintra 6 teams). For the next EVRICup edition (Valkenswaard - The Netherlands) there is interest from Belgium, Austria, France and Italy 35+ and 50+ teams.

Delft - One of the cups for the 17th edition of the EVRICup in Sintra is the (two) challenge cup(s) which are managed by the International EVRICup Committee (I.E.C.) . It is the challenge cup 35 + EVRICup that was won the last edition (in Italy) by the 35+ team of C.T. Barcino (Spain) and the challenge Jaime Labory Cup won by the 50+ team of Veterani Hockey Club Castiglione della Pescaia (Italy). During the EVRICup delegatesmeeting on wednesday june 1st 2011 in Sintra, the cups must be handed over to Mr. Bruno Agostinho, one of the organizers of the 17th edition of the EVRICup.

Delft - For the 18th EVRICup edition in 2012 Valkenswaard The Netherlands is interest (35+ category) from France so the event can than grow to a 9 nations event. But the most surprising is the request of the 35+ team of South Africa. President of the South Africa rollerhockey federation mr. Joaquim Coimbra : "we are very interested because we like to visit Europe and hear many good stories about the EVRICup circuit. Delft - The interest of the new EVRICup category 50+ is growing and growing. But the maximum is 8 teams of the 50+ category in a EVRICup edition. We are very pleased to welcome the 50+ teams of C.P. Cibeles (Spain) and F.C. Porto (Portugal). The veteranteam of C.P. Cibeles of Oviedo (Asturia) gives the edition a good Spanisch push between the veteranteams of Catalunya. The veteranteam of the north of Portugal, F.C. Porto, has great names of the past, such as the worldchampion goalkeeper Franklin Pais, the strikers Vitor Hugo, Vitor Bruno and the defender Realista.

Delft-  At this moment the organizationcommittee has not received all the confirms of the international participating veteranteams for the 17th edition in Sintra - Portugal. A special request of the organizationcommittee to send the confirms before the 15th of february 2011 so they can give the exact startdate of the event in Portugal: 1 or 2 june 2011. The enddate is - as usual - on the saturday with the traditional EVRICup dinner and closing ceremony.

The rules have been updated. We now are looking at version 2.0 (oktober 2010).

 AFTER 2011, 2012 AND 2013 NOW THE EVRICUP ORGANIZER FOR THE YEAR 2014 IS ALSO KNOWN

 

Delft – The organizers of the 17th (Sintra-Portugal), the 18th (Valkenswaard-Netherlands) and the 19th (Herne Bay-England) European Veteran Rollerhockey Invitational Cup Edition for the years 2011, 2012 and 2013 are now known, and embraced with joy by all international rollerhockey participants.

 

 

Four years before the start also the organizer of the 20^th edition of the EVRICup, in the year 2014, is now already known. Spokesman Carles Capdevila Codina of the Spanish Club Pati Voltrega: "The Dutch edition in the year 2009 was the first contact with the circuit for our club. In addition to the achieved second place this edition was unforgettable for us. It turned out that veteranrollerhockey at a high level also can be played respectfully. The international friendship between the participating teams is super and we like to be in the year 2014, the host for our rollerhockeyfriends".

Welcome Suisse 35+

Delft - In Darmstadt (2010) and Castiglione della Pescaia (2010) the delegates of the participating veteran teams made the appointment that the EVRI Cup-circuit must grow to a maximum level of 16 teams of 35+ and 8 teams of 50+ . The extension must come from England, France and Suisse. That will give the event an even more international rollerhockey image.  

Today we received the decision of the GENEVE RHC VETERANS to participate in the EVRI Cup edition (35+) in Sintra (Portugal), next 1,2,3 and 4 june 2011. In Sintra there are participating at last 8 nations : Italy, Belgium, Portugal, England, Spain, The Netherlands, Germany and Suisse !    

Rob Verbeek, secretary of the I.E.C. : "We are very proud that the sportfriends of Geneve will participate during the next EVRICup edition in Portugal. Our next goal is the participation of teams from France and Austria. The EVRICup at this moment is growing to be the biggest international veteran rollerhockey event in Europe !"

 UNFORTUNATE EVRICUP DEBUTANT PHIL MC. VEY ON THE WAY BACK

Delft – Finally the EVRICup circuit had her English participant. The Veterans team of HERNE BAY UNITED was the 35 + rookie of the tournamentduring the last edition in Italy. During the first match of the English rollerhockey sportfriends captain Phil Mc. Vey fall unhappy and his first game ended before the tournament was well and truly started. A serious arm injury was the result for Phil. In the picture see Phil at the closing ceremony with his arm in a cast.

 

On November 15, more than a month after the event in Castiglione della Pescaia, Phil gave the following comment: "I have had the plaster tasks off today. It's still sure but the doctors are happy with it. I have to go back in 4 or 5 weeks to get the final all clear. So hopefully I will start playing hockey again in January, next."

 

The entire EVRICup family wishes Phil a quick recovery and we hope to see him safe and healthy in Sintra, Portugal during the next EVRICup edition.

Please find here the application form for the 15° EVRICUP that will be held in Castiglione della Pescaia on 7/8/9 October 2010. You are kindly request to confirm your participation by 31/07/2010. Please remember that we organize the tournament for max 12 teams "over 35" and 4 teams  "over 50".

Here you will also find reference for some accommodations in Castiglione della Pescaia where you can book your stay. While planning your travel, consider that the nearest airport is Pisa (around 100 km away), while Rome airports are around 200 km away. We are waiting for you in Castiglione!

Albert Moncusi i Romagosa

Albert Moncusi i Romagosa, playing for Club Pati Vilafranca 35+, was very unlucky the last tournament in Darmstadt. An unfortunate move against VRC 35+ resulted in a severe injury. The tournament was hold up for ¾ of an hour to help him to go to hospital in Darmstadt. The next day Albert was transferred to Barcelona. He is busy revalidating en is determined to be the coach of his team during the next EVRI-cup edition in Italy. We all hope he will recover soon!!

Welcome England

In Darmstadt the delegates of the participating veteran teams made the appointment that the EVRI Cup-circuit must grow with veteran teams from Suisse, France and/or England. That will render the event an even more international rollerhockey image.

Today we receive the decision of the HERNE BAY UNITED VETERANS TEAM to participate in the EVRI Cup edition (35+) in Castiglione della Pescaia, next 7, 8 and 9 october 2010. We have already uploaded the teamfoto into the teamarea.

We have changed the way facebook members present themselves. We now use your real name in stead of your username. If you have not yet given your real name, change that on your profile page. Keep your username however. Why not upload a photo as well!!

We suggest that every team gives a monthly newsupdate, by updating that news to info@evricup.com . We will publish this news on the teams page along the already published photo's, if you want by making a brief summary and a link to your own internetpage.

Next cup 2010 in Darmstadt

The next edition will take place in Darmstadt  on april 8 to 10 2010. BE THERE!!!

Darmstadt is not coming to Girona, but some players do!

Hi friends of veterans roller hockey, we are so sorry that we can´t participate at this years tournament in Girona. For various reasons we have not been able to form a team. Some of us have to stay with their families, others have not enough holidays from their work and two other players are on holidays with their families. It is sad, but there is no way around it. Because Dirk and I have already booked the flights to Girona, maybe there are other teams in the competition who would like to include two german players J If you are interested just send an e-mail to teamleitung@casez.de The good thing is! We will definitely come to Castiglione in 2010 and we will have our own EVRICUP tournament in Darmstadt (the second one) between 14^th until the 16^th of October 2010. Have a great time in Girona, don´t forget to have lots of fun and don´t forget the veterans from RSC Darmstadt.

50 + news

Maybe there is more room in Girona for 50 + participating teams, next tot GEIEG and the Dreamteam. Who dares? For the next event (in Italy probably) the Belgian team of Leuven has announced their entree in the 50 + league. So they will participate in both the 35 + and the 50 + tournament, thus following GEIEG. Their teammember Daniel Hanssens explains: "The Zaandam initiative of the 50 + tournament is very appealing. We are getting older also and this initiative provides a platform to play EVRCUP even when we will be 60..........".

50 + in Girona?

Some Dutch Dreamteam members hope to participate as a Dutch team in the 50 + range. They hope that more teams will send a complete 50 + team.
